I see that the video of the garden didn't work so I'm sending again.

Garden, paddling, park, pride and birds

With some warm weather the garden has really taken off.

My first paddle of the year; a shore paddle with friends

And my first paddle to Discovery Island of the year.  On the day with the lowest tides of a generation, the water was flat and the sun was shining.  Aside from a few harrowing moments in some nasty currents, it was blissful.

And, as always, the park

Pride returns

An estimated 30,000 people attended.  People busting loose after two years of restrictions.

Some action in the heron rookery

A couple of days ago a bunch of crows were going ballistic over the roof of the building next door, cawing madly and flapping around.  I looked out and saw a little pile of bloody feathers probably belonging to a crow that had fallen prey to an eagle.  The crows continued in this agitated way over the rest of the day and the next.  Then an eagle landed, maybe the original predator, and snacked a bit more.  The crows went berserk.

What's left of that little pile of feathers is still there but the crows have moved on.
