Visit with family - Seattle

Sorry that so much time has elapsed between these last posts.  I've been away collecting more accounts to add to the blog.  More about that soon but for now here's the second half of my visit to my family in Seattle.  The beautiful weather continued and we spent a lot of time outdoors hiking and biking and some kayaking. When the weather is good, the Seattle area and Washington in general offers a bounty of outdoor activity opportunities with the Puget Sound on the west, the Olympic Peninsula, the Pacific Coast, Lake Washington to the east and the Cascades where you can hike your socks off, then the dry side of the Cascades and the desert in the interior.  You can surf, ski (cross country, downhill, water), windsurf, kiteboard, kayak (ocean and river), hike, bike, raft, and so on.  We did a few of those activities.

A walk in Discovery Park.

And, of course, lots of cycling around Seattle.
