DF 2020 - Franz Mayer - José Cuevas

Museo Fannz Mayer is another one of my regular stops in DF.  A beautiful museum with often interesting temporary exhibits. The temporary exhibits on this visit were not so much to my taste.  One contained a lot of interactive technology some of which was kind of fun, e.g. wearing special goggles for virtual reality games and such, and this one where the user could paint with different virtual tools:

The building, another colonial structure, is lovely with a courtyard, cafe and gardens.  

I also visited the Museo José Luis Cuevas.  Cuevas (1934 - 2017) was was a self taught artist, writer, sculptor, a strong critic of the Muralist Movement and a very outspoken and controversial character.  His was a dark and often disturbing vision.  Nonetheless, he was highly regarded and garnered many awards.
