Guanajuato cont.

A rooftop celebration.  It was Terry and Diana's 52nd wedding anniversary and Jorge's birthday.  I met Terry and Diana at Casa Bertha (the hotel where I've stayed exclusively in Guanajuato) years ago and several times again there over the years.

They live not far from me on Vancouver Island and we've connected several times on the island for hiking and canoe/kayak excursions.  

 Jorge, the birthday boy, is one of the owners of Casa Bertha.  I think it may have been his 65th.  

These anniversary/birthday parties on the roof have become a fairly regular event at Casa Bertha at this time of year and are always a lot of fun.

 Another Wednesday hike.  

We take the bus out of town up into the mountains behind the city to the town of Santa Rosa de Lima, some thousand metres above Guanajuato.  

A long but enjoyable hike making a big loop through the mountains and ending up back in Santa Rosa.
