A quinceañera - celebration of a girl's 15th birthday - celebrated in all of Latin America.
Every Friday is student art day at the Olga Costa/Jose Morado museum where school children can come to do art projects under the guidance of teachers and the museum staff. Olga Costa was a German artist who came to Mexico as a child, Jose Morado a Mexican muralist whose name is included among the great modern Mexican muralists. The two of them met in art school in Mexico City.
Out of the blue, while we were hanging out in the plaza down the way, a Japanese boy band and film crew appeared and passed through the plaza in the midst of shooting a music video. An unexpected twist to the day as happens so often here.
